perhaps i've watched crap all day, i don't know, but finally something i genuinely liked! the animation went smoothly with the music, as though the two were designed for one another (although one was designed to the other). the abiance was set perfect to the mood of what was happening, the lighting was nealy perfect in the areas where it was needed, and although you used simple lines and shapes, you allowed everything to have depth and shape (a step up from the first asylum).
although all this is true, there did arise a problem from you using stickfigures to convey the story. they all looked alike. normally that isn't a proble, but in the complex story you were telling, without the use of voice, and no clothing or facial differences, i found my self unable to recognize the characters i was seeing, both times i watched the movie. you do several changes of veiws, flashbacks, foreshadowings, and other such tools to tell a great story, the problem being, i couldn't recognize any of the protagonists from anyone else, until the end. in the end only on character was being "followed" at that point i was able to recognize "him" amongst the crowd, the character the direction was focused around.
normally i don't like stick movies,
but this i liked
best luck
